DePuy Orthopedics in August 2010 announced a recall of certain hip implant systems and "ASR" surfacing for hip implants. Serious health problems and symptoms including, but not limited to, pain and increased levels of certain metals in the blood can be associated with defective hip implants and surfacing systems. Floyd A. Landrey graduated from Lamar State College in 1957 with a Bachelor of Science degree. He then attended Baylor University where he received his law degree in 1961. After law school, Floyd served as assistant District Attorney in Jefferson County from 1962 through 1963. He then worked in the Beaumont City Attorney�s office, where he served as First Assistant City Attorney from 1964 to 1966.

In 1968 Floyd co-founded the law firm of Moore, Moore and Landrey, which is the predecessor to the current firm.
