Cause No. A-163,080; Belinda Horn, et al v. Allco, Inc.; In the 58th Judicial District Court of Jefferson County, Texas. Moore Landrey LLP was lead counsel on a case where a deceased worker’s family sued an employer for punitive damages. This case involved the death of a worker in which the employer possessed workers’ compensation coverage. Accordingly, the Plaintiffs could sue for punitive damages only. Jury verdict for the Plaintiff, including punitive damages.

Cause No. B- 149,309; Steven McKnight, et al v. Park Central Nursing Home, et al; In the 60th Judicial District Court of Jefferson County, Texas. Moore Landrey LLP was local counsel on a wrongful death of a nursing home resident. Jury verdict for the Plaintiff, including an award of punitive damages.

Cause No. B-164,082; Conex International Corporation vs. Fluor Enterprises, Inc. and Leslie Antalffy; In the 60th Judicial District Court of Jefferson County, Texas. Mr. Burmeister served as local counsel for the Plaintiff which was alleging business disparagement. Jury verdict for the Plaintiff.

Cause No. B-134,751; Herbert Straughter, Jr. vs. Gaumer Co., Inc.; In the 60th Judicial District Court of Jefferson County, Texas. Moore Landrey LLP represented the injured Plaintiff due to a malfunction of the electric eye manufactured by the Defendant, which allowed bags of resin to continue moving on a conveyor belt at Goodyear, causing a bag to strike the Plaintiff, resulting in a lower back fusion. Jury verdict for the Plaintiff.
